Welcome to Little Pellegenna Glamping, our tranquil, family-run glamping site near Dobwalls, Cornwall.
A little more about us, we are Cathie and Mike. We grew up in Cornwall, after living across the UK, we were drawn back to the peace of this corner of East Cornwall in 2015. Our son lives locally and works on the site regularly. From gardening to labouring, he’s always getting stuck in. Our daughters and their families live up country but also get involved wherever possible.
Our vision for Little Pellegenna was always for it to be a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of life. After buying the former pig farm, we very quickly realised Mike’s dream of creating our very own woodland. The whole extended family came together to plant 500 native tree seedlings in 2016. Since then, we have watched them grow into an established woodland with winding paths, wonderful shady glades and private glamping pitches.
Why glamping?
We have used local carpenters, builders, labourers and craftsmen to redevelop our structures. Our shepherd’s hut and shower and camp kitchen have been made will skill and care. This enabled us to create a bespoke look and feel, that respects the surrounding landscape. We even used some of our leylandii, blown down in a storm, to create some lovely furniture and some bespoke features in the buildings.
We have created a beautiful setting and wanted to open it up to people who might not otherwise get to experience the beauty and tranquillity of such a secluded space. Our site allows you to really experience nature. There is so much wildlife running around the site. A family of deer, hedgehogs, foxes and rabbits are regular visitors. It’s also home to too many birds to mention, including buzzards, owls and woodpeckers.
We feel it is the perfect retreat to escape to when you need to slow down, reconnect and experience the peace of the countryside. We look forward to welcoming you to Little Pellegenna and sharing this special corner of Cornwall with you.
